Cascade.

A trigger and an outcome. Lay the steps between them - in order, and only the ones doing real work.

Learning objective: building a causal chain where every step follows physically from the one before - and learning to leave out the true-but-irrelevant. Extra steps cost marks here, the same habit that loses marks in "explain" questions.

For teachers

Every wrong tile is labelled with the reasoning error it represents - teleology, wrong direction, off-path, upstream, level-skip, or wrong mechanism. Six labels, reused across every chain, so students start hearing them in their own writing. The canonical chain is always shown after grading.
