A protein is written in the nucleus and ends up in the membrane. Put the eight steps of that journey back in order, build it in plasticine, then watch it run.
Read it once, then build the sequence.
Tap a step on the left to place it at the end, or drag any step straight into a numbered slot and the rest shift down to make room. Tap a placed step to send it back.
then build it
Once your order is checked, make the cell on the desk. One colour per compartment: nucleus, rough ER, Golgi, vesicle, membrane. Then make your protein as a separate piece and physically move it through all eight steps.
Be ready to talk through your model. If a step cannot be shown with the plasticine, that is the step to look at again.
Step through the correct sequence. The compartment doing the work lights up, the rest fade back.
Press play to follow the protein from gene to membrane.
