Every subtopic is a sheet with its name in the middle and a task on each branch: a diagram to label, a paragraph with gaps, a table to complete, steps to put in order. Fill one in on screen and check it, or print it on A4, Letter or A3 with an answer key.

Ways to use one

On screen

Type into the blanks and press Check my answers: spelling slips, plurals and British or American spellings are let through. The answers stay in this browser, so a map can be finished over a few sittings. Word bank lists each sheet's answers for a first go.

On paper

Each subtopic prints on one landscape page, scaled to fit A4, Letter or A3, in colour or photocopied in black and white. Print a set with the word bank showing for a scaffolded version, and the key for marking in pairs.

Your version

Shuffle gives a sheet a new layout, numbers its pins afresh and reorders its rows and steps, so neighbours get different sheets; Choose boxes leaves off what you have not taught, with a preview of each box as you hover. Both stay in this browser and print as you see them; As written puts a sheet back.

SL or HL

Higher level boxes have a dashed border and an HL badge. Set the level to SL and they drop off the sheet, so a standard level class gets a map with nothing on it they have not been taught.

Topics and units

Each AP topic is a sheet of its own, named as the CED names it, and a unit map holds every topic of the unit in order. Tick topics in Mix your own to make a map for the next test, or start from a ready-made one and Choose boxes to leave off what a class has not reached.
